Relacore Extra Reviews - What Is It?
Relacore Extra is one of the most popular products for weight loss nowadays, but is it really worth this attention? This pill is meant to make your belly smaller without stress to your body. So, I decided to examine its ingredients, clinical research and side effects. The supplement is made by the Carter-Reed Company based in Utah. It contains B vitamins, magnolia bark, passionflower, perilla, jujube, and panax ginseng. Relacore Extra has to be taken once a day.
Relacore website doesn't mention anything about the ingredients. However, it tells that Relacore is designed to block stress hormones linked to extra weight and obesity.
There is no information about the establishing of the company or when Relacore Extra entered the market. The company tries to use natural ingredients, but this information hasn't been approved by any medical research.
Ingredients of Relacore Extra - Does It Really Work? Is It a Scam?
Relacore has a completely another approach to weight loss - it connects obesity with stress, in fact the hormone of stress called cortisol. The supplement contains the "proprietary blend" known as "Relacortin". It's a cortisol blocker. The word "cort" on a supplement label refers to cortisol. According to the manufacturer, this hormone can increase hunger and cause weight gain. I had to make my own research in order to find out what ingredients Relacore contains and I succeeded. They include: Vitamin C 333 mg, Vitamin B1 (thiamin) 5 mg, Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) 17 mg, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) 3.3 mcg, Biotin 50 mcg,
Pantiothanic acid 8mg, Calcium 33mg, Magnesium 67mg. Relacortin Blend contains Passion flower extract (aerial parts), Magnolia extract (bark), Chinese skullcap extract (root), Niacinamide, Asian ginseng (root), Poria extract (sclerotium), Jujube extract (fruit), Perilla extract (leaf), Phosphatidylserine.
The first nine ingredients in the product - vitamin C, B1, B2, B6, B12 and others don't have any connection to weight loss. Many years ago, though, it was considered that calcium could lower weight a little bit, but according to the newest research, it has no effect on weight. In any case, Relacore doesn't contain a lot of calcium.
Vitamin C is connected with stress which usually depletes its levels. To my mind, adding more vitamin C to your diet will not lower your cortisol levels. As for the blend of ingredients called "Relacotortin", let's have a look at the work of each of its constituents.
Passion Flower is often used to fight anxiety. As stress is linked to anxiety, the manufacturers decided to add this component to the supplement. However, I failed to find any proof that passion flower helps to lose weight. It is also not mentioned an extract of what part of the plant is used. Magnolia was mentioned to help with weight loss in 2006. It was tested on women who took 750 mg of the magnolia / phellodendron supplement for 6 weeks. The supplement showed to decrease levels of cortisol a little.
Chinese skullcap has an anti-anxiety effect. It also influences arthritis but I didn't manage to find any information about its ability to lower weight. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin niacin. The latter hasn't been proved effective in reducing cortisol or lowering weight. The research only showed that niacinamide helps to treat diabetes and arthritis.
Asian ginseng also hasn't proved to help with weight loss, as well as with lowering cortisol. Poria is a mushroom extract but there is no evidence that it can somehow decrease weight or lower cortisol. Perilla and Jujube also fail.
Phosphatidylserine is a stress reliever. Some studies in the 1990s showed that it helped its users "feel better" but there is no proof that it can reduce cortisol levels or weight loss. High levels of this element increased blood clotting in overweight people. There is not much phosphatidylserine in Relacore.
Customer Reviews - Does It Have Any Side Effects?
The manufacturer doesn't tell about any side effects of Relacore Extra on its website. Most of the users claim that it can be helpful in fighting stress, but it will hardly help to lose belly fat. In fact, the supplement doesn't contain any weight loss ingredients. One of the users told in his review that he took Relacore Extra for 2 months and didn't see any affect. After he consulted his doctor he was told that the ingredients had no value for losing weight at all. It is simply waste of money. Another dieter told that she had taken 72 pills 3 times a day but she did not lose 1 pound. She was dissatisfied.
Most users were left unhappy not only because of absence of positive results but also because of the side effects they faced while taking the supplement. Many of dieters confessed that they were suffering from bloating. Sometimes they were nauseous and dizzy. One of the users said that he gained 3.5 lbs in a week, noticed a substantial amount of hair loss and contracted moderate acne.
In healthy people Relacore Extra is probably safe. But as it hasn't been tested for safety or interaction with other supplements or medications, I decided to look at side effects of its ingredients. Magnolia can interact with supplements and medications that possess a sedative and anti-depressant effect. Niacinamide might interact with medications for the treatment of diabetes. Passion flower can interfere with sleep supplements. Skullcap may interact with medications that induce sleep and with depression meds.
Asian Ginseng has a blood thinning effect so it may interact with medications for blood thinning, as well as insulin and drugs suppressing the immune system. Phosphatidylserine may interfere with different medications including blood thinner drugs. So, talk to your doctor before taking Relacore Extra.

Where To Buy Relacore Extra?
Relacore Extra is available on Walmart, Amazon, GNC for $23. It can be also found in stores throughout the USA and the official website.
My Final Summary
The Relacore Extra manufacturers call the product a "feel good pill" but it has no scientific proof for such a claim. No ingredients in the supplement are associated with weight loss. I can't say that Relacore works because it has not been tested in published research. Besides, there are too many reports of negative side effects of Relacore Extra like bloating and nausea. I can't recommend this product for usage. If you want to lose extra pounds, look for a supplement that will contain clinically tested ingredients.
